JACOB ESCOBEDO
Since the creation of [adult swim], Jacob Escobedo has had a hand in the aesthetic of the late night television block. He has overseen a team of art directors, illustrators, broadcast and print designers conceiving strange and humorous visuals out of Williams Street. He is responsible for creating the many DVDs, ad campaigns and music releases including DANGER DOOM, Ghostly Swim and Chrome Children. Jacob also co-created the original one hour special, Freaknik: The Musical starring Lil Wayne, T-Pain and Cee-Lo, overseeing the creative direction of the show. Recently named Vice President of Design for Cartoon Network and [adult swim], he’s been tasked to inject insanity into supporting new comedies: Adventure Time, The Regular Show, Children’s Hospital and Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job.
You might also recognize some of Jacob’s work in the music industry. Working closely with Danger Mouse and Waxploitation on various releases: Broken Bells, Gnarls Barkley, Dark Night of the Soul and a current project with Jack White and Norah Jones titled ROME.
