MEDIA MOLECULE

Media Molecule was founded by a small troupe of Lionhead veterans who, bolstered by their work together on cult indie game Rag Doll Kung-Fu, decided they could see a great way to make innovative, creative games for the ‘next generation’ of game consoles – all the while staying small and true to that ‘family’ vibe you only get when working in a small, talented team.

With a little help from their friends, they put together the team that now calls themselves Media Molecule. Drawing on 70+ years of collective industry experience, and the pain and pleasure of releasing a whole shed-load of great titles (including Black & White, Fable, Burnout, Dungeon Keeper, Ratchet and Clank, Rome: Total War, Home, EyeCreate, Crackdown and of course, Rag Doll Kung-Fu), they are the creative forces behind LittleBigPlanet for the PS3, a game that IGN has called “an instant classic” and that Metacritic has given a 95 rating.

Unlike most video games, LittleBigPlanet puts the acts of creating and sharing at the core of the gaming experience. Players use sophisticated yet intuitive tools to build levels that they can distribute via online communities and play through with friends around the globe. Combined with the game’s beautiful graphics and incredible physics simulation, LittleBigPlanet pushes the envelope of video gaming on several levels.
